Emery is a naturally occurring abrasive material composed primarily of corundum (aluminum oxide) and magnetite. It is commonly used to create anti-slip surfaces due to its rough texture and durability. Emery can be applied to various surfaces, such as stair treads, walkways, and industrial floors, to enhance traction and prevent slips and falls. It is often incorporated into paints, coatings, or adhesive strips, providing a long-lasting and effective solution for improving safety in areas prone to becoming slippery.
